An open letter to Winter.

Sara Royston · 1 minute read

Dear Winter,

I understand that you are still technically in charge of the season, at least for another 8 days, but what you did today was just plain cruel. There was absolutely no need for that nonsense. We were doing just fine dealing with your average cold 30 degree temps this week, and even that was a bit rough after having been teased with such a glorious 60 degree day. But to drop into the teens with blasts of freezing wind and blowing snow on a Saturday?! That was just vicious, and you know it. I am not sure I will be able to forget this when you roll back into town next December. And usually I look forward to the first snow and the start of the winter season, but after this, I just don't know. I am disappointed and deeply irritated with your behavior today, and it will take some time for me to get past it.

When the warm air forces you out this week, and Spring comes in to take your place, I will not be sorry to see you go. In fact, I will help you pack.

Buh Bye, Sara
