Not good, not bad, just is

Just an okay kind of day.

I walked out of school, down the sidewalk, across the street, and over to the parking lot feeling okay about the day. It wasn't particularly good nor was it particularly bad, it just was.

Today, the warm air balanced out the overcast sky. The off task, loud students were offset by the ones who worked hard and showed kindness.

How do you describe an equal sort of day? One that has its good and not so good parts, but in the end they even out? The only word I can think of is okay. Maybe fine. Good enough would work too.

I think these days are underrated sometimes. The push to find joy each and every day can be exhausting. But wallowing in the icky feelings is exhausting too. A nice balance though? I am okay/fine/good enough with that.
